About Gretchen

Hi, my name is Gretchen Probst. I live in the Heartland in Southeast Missouri and am close to Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Tennessee, and Kentucky. I was a band teacher for four years prior to having my first baby and now I can concentrate on teaching them and spending time during these precious years.

I found out about T-Tapp back in 1999 when I was just starting college. I gained about 30 lbs. after high school and it wouldn’t budge. Being a poor college student, I couldn’t afford the Total Workout but I tried all the Try-Before-You-Buy exercises the best that I could. (My husband thought Organs in Place/Half Frogs looked weird.) I did Awesome Legs and lost an inch or two off each thigh within a couple weeks.

My coursework increased to over 20 hours a semester (music education major is tough) and I figured walking around my hilly campus should be enough to help lose or at least maintain my weight. I later found out that it was probably hormonal and my last semester of college I went off the birth control I was using and dropped about 20 lbs. During this time, I tried Tae-Bo, Yoga, Pilates, even a Hula workout. I went from a 14/16 down to about a 12.

I found T-Tapp again in 2005 and read more of the logistics and science behind it and realized it STILL made the most sense. What a difference it made! I went from a 12 to a 8/10 and even fit into some 6s.

Me the day before I delivered. I gained about 60 lbs. during pregnancy (much to my dr.’s dismay!)

I've had three beautiful girls and gained 60-80 lbs. with each pregnancy. I T-Tapped throughout the pregnancies, more in the second trimester since I was exhausted in the first, and quite big and uncomfortable in the third. I didn't do any form of exercising the first 6 weeks, taking that time to care for me and my daughter. With my first, I had gotten to prepregnancy weight by the 6 week checkup. My 2nd daughter it took longer but life was also busier and there was a toddler to care for as well ;) With my third daughter I lost 40 lbs in the first 2 weeks but still have 30-40lbs to go weight-wise and am waiting to fit in normal clothes again, but habe only done a handful of workouts. I did an

Me leaving the hospital with my daughter. The weight was still showing in my face.

T-Tapp is all I do and am a great example of Less Is More. I used to beat myself up if I didn’t get in a prescribed number of workouts a week, but am now happy to get in 2-3.

My second daughter will turn one in November and it seems like time is something that slips away throughout the day with two little ones at home. I've come to love the Basic 15 Minute workout for its efficiency.

After working out, my body craves healthier foods, but I never deprive myself of tasty chocolate. I can usually out-eat anyone else eating with me. I thought my days of a fast metabolism were over once I graduated high school but they’ve reappeared! And if the extra carbs and calories make me sluggish, I just hop up and do some HoeDowns.

T-Tapp truly is the Workout that Works!
